A free community project by Kastro.
DMZ is led by Andri Pétur at Kastro. Like Dmark and Kastro Lookup, it aims to provide useful help without subscriptions or a compulsory sales conversation.
Why Icelandic?
Icelandic names, inflection and kennitölur need language-aware handling. DMZ combines local detection with visible masks and restoration, while publishing honest limitations. Selected identifiers and secrets are the focus; complete anonymisation is not promised.
What changed?
DMZ has moved from a planned commercial suite to a free DMZ community project. Portal/Gateway are deferred. Paid-pilot commitments and revenue targets no longer govern the release path. Licensing and any later hosted scope require separate decisions.
